Writing competition: Saturday at the Library

Creative minds of Birmingham...we have a competition for you!

Write a poem or story of up to 500 words on the theme of 'Saturday at the library'. All genres welcome - funny, magical, moving, mysterious. If it

happens on a Saturday at the library, we want to read it.

Deadline is 25 August 2025.

Members of the Royal Literary Fund will be part of the judging panel. Winning entries will be published in a printed book.

Or drop them off at your local library in a sealed envelope clearly
